I need wi-fi security for dummies. Have a cable modem and a Linksys wireless (g) router, set at default. To set up WEP or WPA network security do I need to change the configuration page or let Windows XP OS run a Set-up wizard or both? Do you know of a step by step web site for tech challanged people?

Try this:

It should walk you through the process.

Use the configuration utility for the router to set up WPA (don't use wep, easily broken) to set a pass key. Use the wireless network setup wizard to enter the WPA key to connect to the wireless network.
