what is the difference between "Scattering" and " recoiling"?

Both have the same meaning ,scattering is reflecting in different direction but recoiling is only in a paticular direction.

Generally ,scattering means anything large goes away into finer small pieces while recoiling is gathering together from a large one to a small one, this could be the difference in the meanings other than this, in what else way do u want the differences?

Recoiling usually implies a 180º angle of scatter while scatter is a more general term for any "change of initial direction"

To scatter something means to spread it around; whereas recoil has context meanings. For instance, if something makes you recoil, you move your body away quickly from it because it frightens, offends or hurts you!
