This is a most painful ailment. Several approaches: One exercise of the abdomen and leg muscles. This "remedy" has been very successful for one of my employee's who regualarly came down with sciatica due to his deficient diet and love of a good drink.(Not insinuating you do ). Vitamin B Capsule 100 (everything in the B Family) 1 with breakfast and one with lunch. 1 B6 Capsule strong 1 3 times a day (Caots the nerve) Good healthy diet 1 Vitc Capsule 1000 mg 3 times a day 1 Vitamin D capsule with 4 Triboron or similar brand Twin lab brand (Magnesium and calcium capsules) twoice daily with fatty snack for absorbtion and the second time it should be near bedtime as it absorbs better whey lying down. Calcium and magnesium relax smooth muscles. for 7 days 3 advil 2-3 times a day to reduce inflamation. This really works!!

I went to a chiropracter. The first thing he told me was that the sooner you treat it, the better your chances are for a full recovery. What he did for me was deep massages in my lower back, stretched my lower thighs along with lower back adjustments. He also taught me a stretch to do at home (I needed someone's assistance with that. It was for my lower thigh.) He also had me take Magnesium along with Calcium. The magnesium was to improve the elasticity of my muscles. The Calcium is important to keep a balance of minerals. I felt great after about a month or two. That was 2 years ago and I haven't had any problems since then.

The spine is the most vital part of our anatomical structure.
Under instructions, take yogic postures that will make the spinal digits/vertebrate supple.
In such problems, the adjoining muscles and ligaments swell and pain with the stress. It is important to do gentle twisting exercises to free them of the strain.
Any bone, joint issue is aggravated by acidity. Taking foods locally available to you that are high in fibre, cooling to digest. rich in vitamins (especially Vit B) is a great way out.
You need to tank up on calcium, vitamins and minerals... all from natural foods available to you. AleoVera is great.
Avoid fried stuff, red meats, spices and hot peppers.
If you can, lie flat on your back, curl up your legs to hold them in an embrace with your arms, head tucked in at the knees and roll your back. This is marvellous self help acupressure at all spots for spine.
Sleeping on a flat bed with a thin towel below the lower back for support helps to strengthen the natural curve of the spine.
The spine is reflected in the feet; from the toes to the heels that you must massage to keep the spine warm.

Pilates, and chiropractors visits and drinking 1 quart of water for every 50lbs of body weight helped mine. The chiropractor has to be a gentle minimal movement chiropractor.
