I hadn't felt my baby moving ALL night...and that's usually when I feel him. But, last night he didn't move even after I proded my stomach (I usually can get him to move if I jiggle my belly softly) BUT HE NEVER DID! FINALLY after about 30 minutes and me turning on my left side, I got him to kick...I'm 21 weeks...I feel him everyday about 10 times a day...do you freak when you don't feel your baby for a few hours...I was so worried and so was his daddy. I feel him strong and kicking right this moment, lol, but last night was a scare...what did you do to make yourself feel better if you didn't feel your baby?

Casey is correct, and you need to mention it to your doctor to see what he/or she suggests
congrats!

The same thing has happened to me a few times now. First I try to reason and tell myself that the baby may just be sleeping or in a funny position. I also try to eat or drink something with a bit of sugar and lay down in a quiet place to see if the baby will move. But when several hours go by with no movement, I tend to panic to the point where I feel like I'm having an anxiety attack or something. I usually pray and asking God to watch over the baby and make sure it's safe. I also tell God that I need reassurance that the baby is okay and ask him to provide me with a sign. Usually that helps calm me down. God has always answered my prayers. Recently I rented a doppler from Babybeat.com. I've used it twice now and am glad I got it. In those moments when I feel afraid, I can use the doppler and hear the baby's heartbeat. That calms my fears and worries.

You will have days where he doesnt move more than just a few times in a whole 24 hour period. He has to spend time growing, and he'll take a day or two and grow grow grow, and then come back twice as active and strong. Dont worry, its part of how he has to do things to be healthy.

What you want to worry about is when a whole 24 hour period goes by without ANY movement.

Also, if jiggling your belly doesnt work, lay on your left side after drinking something sweet. Or eating something sweet.

My little guy celebrated every time we had chocolate milk, I could always get him to move with that.

I totally lost my mind one day because I wasn't feeling my little one move. I tried everything, call the dr did everything they told me to do and NOTHING worked. I called my dr back in tears and she had me come in and she did a u/s on me just to make sure that my little one was ok. the funny thing is while I was waiting for my u/s, my son started moving.
I felt so silly for getting so worked up but my dr said that it was ok and she did the same thing with her kids and she is a DR!!!!

Yesturday my baby was being a good baby and wasn't moving or anything, and for dinner a friend of mine and I went out to dinner, and we both decided to split a dessert, and it was mostly chocolate, hahahaha....my baby woke up after that and decided to party until I put headphones on my belly.

the more your baby grows the less room it has to move. as you get further alone you may notice it moving less. just ask your DR. if you are really worried, you can buy bebe sounds at walmart. its a device you put on your belly and listen to the heartbeat through headphones. really neat!

Try to sleep. That's typically about the time baby wants to kick!

Been there, done that!

i got scared all the time when i was pregnet... but its normal my baby did it all the time so you should really worry about it so much...and what calms me down is to just think what the baby is doing in my stomach and reasure myself that everything will be ok.

when that happened to me I called the ER and the nurse said to chug a mountain dew and it will wake the baby up and he'll start moving again. if that didn't work, she wanted me to come in and get monitored.
