I haven't personally experienced this. However here is some information that you might find helpful. I got it all from
http://www.plannedparenthood.org/index.htm
Effectiveness of the morning after pill depends on which type you took. Here are the percentages for both progestin only and combination emergency contraception.
Progestin-only EC reduces the risk of pregnancy by 89 percent if started within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse. In other words, one woman out of 100 will become pregnant after taking progestin-only EC.
Combination EC reduces the risk of pregnancy by 75 percent if started within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse. Only two out of 100 will become pregnant after taking combination EC.
EC contains hormones found in birth control pills and prevents pregnancy by stopping ovulation or fertilization. Theoretically, EC could also prevent implantation, but that has not been proven scientifically. This will not cause an abortion or affect an existing pregnancy.
I hope that helps. Sorry that this method of birth control didn't work for you. Take care and best wishes.

The morning after pill isn't 100%, just like any other form of birth control.
Or possibly you had sex some other time and didn't use the morning after pill? If so, maybe you ovulated earlier/later....
Think of it as something that was supposed to happen. Must be carring a very special baby.

If your egg was already fertilized by the time you took the pill, it was too late. The morning after pill doesn't cause abortions/miscarriages. If implantation occured, the pill doesn't work. The pill only heightens your hormones to start your period sooner but you know that a period will not occur if you are pregnant. This baby was meant to be!

It is entirely possible, because my friends have been in the same situation. In her case, she did have unprotected sex a few times and most likely got pregnant from her bf's precum, or since the pill is not 100% effective, it could have also failed. Was there ever an instant when he was inside you without a condom? Sperm can live inside of the vagina for several days.
If you are worried about caring for this child, please discuss your options with your doctor or with the professional whom you received the morning after pill from.

Unfortunately the morning-after pill isn't 100% effective at preventing pregnancy.

The morning after pill is meant to reduce the likelihood of pregnancy, not eliminate it. No birth control method is 100%.

You may have taken it too late or maybe you got pregnant AFTER you took it. Because you said you took it 3 weeks ago and if you just missed your cycle now by a couple of days then you wouldnt have been ovulating 3 weeks ago to get pregnant. So you must have had sex again a week or so afterwards.

Nothing is 100%. You can try to prevent it but it doesn't always work. I got pregnant on birth control pills so I know. Good luck
