I'm looking for other options, I have 5 kids and need a car that can sit all of us (7). Any input will be great. And are the back seats (facing the back of the car) safe at all?

The Ford Taurus Station Wagon seats 8. Pilots seat 7 - 8, Toyota 4-runners, practically any minivan & many SUVs seat 7.

Check out the Mazda CX-9. I've got a CX-7 (which just has one less backseat) and I love it.
