It is not advisable to put a house brick into the aquarium, due to the lime in the brick will contaminate the water. There are rocks you can buy at any fish shop that should do the trick.

This is just normal fish behavior. The other fish will get to know to stay out of his way. No, no bricks. Put in a couple more pieces of bogwood or some plants so there is more then one thing to take over. He can't take over all at the same time.

I wouldn't advise it. How can a fish swim in a house brick? They're solid!!! Somebody told me if they (the fish) are getting territorial you're supposed to move the objects around, and it stops them being territorial. I hope this helps!!!

Not a good idea. Bricks frequently are made of materials that will harm your water quality. I would suggest a clay plant pot or a piece of PVC pipe to make a cave. Both are totally safe for your fish.

Go to a home renovation store, to the plumbing section, and buy some pieces of black PVC pipe. It's a cheap and effective way of creating caves and tunnels for bottom dwelling fish.

yet another no for the house brick not safe at all,to add to idea's put forward is to get a new roof slate (from builders yard)and lean it against the back of the tank so fish can go behind it to hide.

Not a good idea as it will release chemicals the catfish might not live with. It will also break up over time.
