There are many ways you can earn money. I babysit and I get paid very well. But I think you have to be 13-14 to start.

My Rates

1-2 kids ~ $5.00/hour
Each additional child ~ $1.25/hour

*When you are babysitting a baby under 10 months old, you should ask to be paid a bit more than your regular charge, since you must give more attention, change the baby, feed the baby, and put the baby to bed.

Another Idea is to have a bake sale/ lemonade stand. Me and my sisters baked all week, made poster signs and decided how much we should charge for each baking good. Any age is perfect for this job!

Another good job is to start a walking dogs for neighbors that have dogs. You can either put up posters around town, or hand out fliers to people you know that have dogs. I would charge 5 dollars per dog.

Another good job is to wash cars, or open a car wash buisness with friends for a few days, mow the lawn, and help people clean there house that might need help.

You could also work at fast food restaurtants, or grocery stores too

Yeah, unfortunately, there aren't a whole lot of options when you're 14. Even most fast food places need you to be at least 16 to work the fries. So marketing yourself among friends, family, or neighbors is the best way to go. Babysitting, raking leaves, stuff like that. Dog walking is a definite moneymaker. Or maybe a paper route? Or what I did when I was 14 was asked my mom if her office could use someone to file and answer phones or do whatever projects no one else wanted to do. I ended up working there after school and during the summers. It looked good on my resume, gave me office experience, and of course provided me with some spending money and savings.

The person who said to talk to your counselor is correct.
Sometimes you can even work in the summer for the school district as a custodian. Also, talking to the dean of students or the grounds office to see if they can let you work in the summer or after school as a part time custodian. If your a good student than you have a chance.

Ofcourse there is also the other places they said. Bag grocer, washing hair at the salon, ect....

From what I know: You can deliver newspapers, babysit, and you can pack bags at a grocery store where the cashier doesn't do it automatically.
I think you can also work at Fast Food chains...you should go and ask around...try McDonald's, Burger King, Taco Bell, maybe even Subway.

Go either to your school counselor or give the city hall and ask for a work permit. With this you can get a job. Once you have it you can apply anywhere such as McDonald's, the library etc. etc. etc.
