Probably David Lee would have been the next best choice knowing what we know now. But with their knowledge at that time, maybe Danny Granger or Jarrett Jack

if the lakers got a higher pick.. they might have chosen frye, villanueva and maybe m. williams.. since they needed a low post defender and a rebounder...
and if the lakers got a lower pick.. chances are green, may, warrick, and even head.. since the good players might have been picked...
but i guess that year.. the lakers got a good picks.. except for wafer.. they should have chosen monta.. but i guess their ideal picks were more on supporting cast.. unlike monta.. he's a offensive type...

Gerald Green...they would have wanted to bring him slowly behind Luke Walton, Lamar Odom, Kobe Bryant, and Deaven George...then when he is ready...play him along side Kobe and Lamar as the SF
