i mean something wire like connecting the clutch directly to the gearbox

A spline...the input shaft is splined to the clutch disk. The little round end of the input shaft fits into a bushing in the end of the crank shaft.

You have a clutch assembly, flywheel, crank seal, friction plate and throw-out bearing, gearbox.

Good Lord!....ok maybe this will help....learning parts (in order)

Engine...flywheel...clutch plate...pressure plate...studs...diaphragm spring...throw-out bearing...clutch housing...release fork...bell housing...transmission
