I used to have really ugly cricles around my eyes because my main mode of transport is walking (usually under an afternoon sun), I smoke, I drink coffee, and I used to stay up late studying. Before I changed my major, people used to joke around an tell me I shouldn't get into fights so often. My new major requires less study, so less stress.

Dont wear mascara or any makeup for a while. There are several eye creams, look for something with a good SPF and Vitamin E. Make sure you have a multivitamin pill in the morning. No coffee. Sorry. It's something you have to part with.
No alchohol, or a atleast, no heavy drinking. A glass or two max per week.
Try to get enough sleep, 8 to 9 hours. A 20 minuite nap durig the day can also help.
If you stress too much during the day, try to wind it off, an accumulation of stress can really blacken your eyes. Excercize, relax, get involved in hobby. Just forget all the day's stress and focus on a constructive passion. That's the best way to kill stress.
If you smoke, that's something you have to battle on your own. Good luck.
All in all, just change your choices for the better. Dark eyes are curable.

There are many causes of dark circles, from age, heredity, allergies, cold or sinus infection, bone structure and glasses which are not so commonly known.

If you would like to apply home remedies to reduce dark circles, here are some of my suggestions:
Buy a box of regular, old fashioned unflavored gelatin (e.g. Knox) from grocery store. Take a small cup or bowl and put in 1 teaspoon of the gelatin mix. Add one tablespoon of boiling water & stir for a minute. Test it on your wrist to make sure it is not too hot. Then, using a cotton ball, pat it under your eyes as you would an eye cream or gel. Go lie down and listen to some music, or take a bath & let it stay on for at least 30 minutes. Then just rinse it off.Gelatin is very high in Vitamin K & Biotin. It will not remove your dark circles on the first application (but you will notice a difference), but if you do it daily for a week, and then 2-3 times a week for maintenance, you should notice a drastic reduction in dark circles.

You can try going at it the "natural" way... But most the time its an overload of purple Pigment under the eyes. So Get Plenty of sleep, and Drink lots of Water! Something to try is a product called Mint Adjuster . My Friend used it on her Dark undereye Circles and it really seems to work! She doesn't have to put Loads of makeup under her eyes anymore! Try it! If it worked for her... It will work for you!

Here's something that really works. Slice a cold, raw potato and and put the a slice under each eye. I can't remember the science that makes it work but it really does!

Cucumbers or Potato slices for ten minutes. If that doesn't work I sell Mary Kay and we have a great eye cream that firms, minimizes fine lines and wrinkles as well as defuses light. I can send you samples.

It depends on alot of factors. Do you sleep late every night perhaps 1am to 2am? Or do you suffer sleep disorders perhaps insomina?stress? which indirectly may cause you without having good sleep? Sometimes it maybe an indication of health problems too.
For covering up, I like to use MAC concealer. It blends well.

slices of cucumber works, but if u want to see gradual results, use concealers from your trusted cosmetic brand. just be careful not to rub the cream too hard, because the skin around our eyes is very delicate and sensitive.
