Deleted Question: Gore deserves a gold statue for hypocrisy ?
Question Details: In his documentary, the former Vice President calls on Americans to conserve energy by reducing electricity consumption at home. Gore’s mansion, located in the posh Belle Meade area of Nashville, consumes more electricity every month than the average American household uses in an entire year, according to the Nashville Electric Service (NES). The average household in America consumes 10,656 kilowatt-hours (kWh) per year, according to the Department of Energy. In 2006, Gore devoured nearly 221,000 kWh—more than 20 times the national average. Gore’s average monthly electric bill topped $1,359.

I guess that's what you call "an inconvenient truth." I suppose this falls underneath the category of do as I say, but not as I do. Is there an Oscar for that? Maybe Al Gore will win that one next year.
This has always been the problem when it comes to the holier-than-thou leftist environmentalists. Al Gore will stand up there and tell you America is destroying the planet, thanks to greenhouse gases. We're supposed to feel guilty for driving our cars, using too much electricity and the like. And after he's done lecturing us all, Al gets onto his private jet, burns up the jet fuel back to Nashville where he goes back to his mansion. But back to Al's energy bill.
Al Gore is rich...he's entitled to buy his house and use as much electricity and natural gas as he can afford. But so is everybody else. So maybe the next time Gore gets up onto his soapbox and starts lecturing the public, somebody will call him out. Maybe.

Let's take a look at a few of the leading advocates to this global warming theory and analyze their current position on energy usage.
Al Gorf; 20 room mansion....how many children does this guy have.....legitimate I mean...2 3 and are they still home? If not all him and his wife need is a one room apartment somewhere. I'm not saying he cannot own a 20 room mansion, he did. His family capacity does not warrant a 20 room mansion.
John Kerry; how many rooms does his house...I mean his wife's house have....who knows. How many live at home children do they have? Surely they could live in an upscale 3 to 4 room house instead of the mansion they live in.
Ted Kennedy; Who knows how many mansions his family owns and how many rooms they have. Well I could go on and on, but what's the use.
It may not seem clear to the libs, but these people are trying to tell the rest of this country how they should live and what conditions are acceptable for us to live under. However, as usual they will not be expected to do the same.

No, I don´t report anybody unless they take it to the racial level. And on top of that, I am NOT a liberal or a democrat, nor a communist (n)or socialist, nor republican. I am just like a lot of people who have the God given right to exercise a free opinion. If that makes people want to throw me in the ´liberal pile´ then proceed, by all means. But putting labels on somebody with different ideas is just making the republicans look even dumber then when they actually (yes actually) voted for Mr. Insane in the Membrane with a Blatant Disregard for Congress and/or the American Public Much Less the Middle Eastern Peoples.

When you far right wingers loose you all cry like babies and nitpick. Good luck, all I need to say is "that you grow up". Your right wing and far right ideas were sent down the garbage disposal during the last elections SO you all need to go back to school and relearn everything and get re-programmed properly. This is not the dark ages we live in so open your minds and get out of that tight knit ideas in your head.

If what you have posted is in fact true...I agree, he should at least have solar panels or something generating the electricity he uses at his home...he could probably afford it....but...
If Al Gore through this lectures, speeches, movies etc... can raise awareness and stop thousands of people or several corporations from wasteful energy use derived from fossil fuels...doesn't that *more* than offset his consumption..? tell me where I'm wrong on this.

I agree wholeheartedly. Gore, and the global warming wackos are socialist/communist in hiding and their goal is NOT to save the world for people to live in. The goal is to accomplish with government regulations what the communist couldn't do with the threat of nuclear attack...cripple capitalism and our free market through regulations based on their trumped up "theories".

He is a hypocrite. I almost threw up during his movie. The point he was making was true, but I got kind of turned off when he started showing his face looking dramatically into the water and he kept refering to politics. It was propaganda.
