i mean REALLY....
i was driving home from work this morning, down some rural roads, and along my travels, i counted 3 houses, all with unique decor.
the first house i saw had a car on blocks sitting in the front yard.
the second house had a washing machine in the yard
and a third house had a mattress propped up against the side wall of the house.
does the UK have such fine decorating skills as their brothers and sisters across the pond...? hmmm???

Thats hilarious,
Sadly yes we do.
Just look at Solstice park near Stonehenge.
Nothing is sacred anymore, Anne Hathaway's cottage is about to have a main road put in front of it.
The worst part of U.K. thoughtlessness is the fly tipping of fridges etc. under E.U. law the government has to process them so its unnecessary to dump them. Same with car tyres.
Oh the lack of information in the public arena.

Depends which area-it can be pretty much the same here. Our neighbour hasn't washed his curtains in the 5 years we've lived next door & when he eventually got rid of the 6ft high weeds from his front garden,he simply threw them into the street!! He's also had a copy of the Yellow Pages & an assortment of beer cans decorating the garden for 5 years!!

bad taste yes, any sort of taste no.
in answer to if this decor occurs in uk, the answer is no, this is because if such items of beauty were left outside, some kind soul will come and thief it.

In the UK we have class, were born with it, but we do have those horrors who prop old furniture up against their walls and have cars on bricks in their yards, we call those sort Chavs.

Well if you saw all this in America there is a perfect reason.
Car on blocks - tyres were stolen
Washing Machine in yard - hillbillies
Mattress against wall - camping
Here in Ireland we like our cars on rubber
Our washing machines in fitted units and our mattresses on bed frames indoors thank you very much

Americans do so have taste. They'd taste anything. I saw one once looking at something on the road. It looked like dog ****, they smelled it and it smelled like dog ****, they tasted it and thought we could market this!!!! Americans will stick cheese and offer fries with that, eat it and have a nice day.

Now now... Martha was locked away for some time and things may have fallen apart abit during her absence...no need to get snarky.
(Canadians... keep their dog sleds on ice blocks... that's a nice change too)...

Which planet were you on ? Didn't you watch Top Gear in U.S. ?
Taste and Americans don't normally appear in the same sentence, unless in the negative tense. You should get out of whichever city you 're in and vists Kent, Norfolk, Cornwall and you'll see where any Americans with taste steal their ideas from.
