Nope its not big over here at all, I dont know anyone who has watched.
Im not really fussed about the oscars.

To be honest I have not heard about his film let alone care about it.
Did he win an Oscar for it? I thought he paid for it!

Ignoring the ignorance (!) of most of the above answers, yes people care about the Al Gore movie, but generally only those who care about the environment in the first place. It lacks the real celebrity factor over here, though.
I think the Oscars have a big affect on movie goers over here, but not on people who don't care about quality films. Most of the guys who answered above are currently running to rent the new American Pie spin-off from Blockbuster. Real movie fans care.

The only people who care about Al gore is Al Gore, and a handful of liberal crybaby, tree hugging enviornmentalist who want nothing more than to destroy our way of life. I do not think the Brits or anyone else givs a rat's *** about it. I know I don't personally.
The Film sucked.

I think the peeps over here that care about Global Warming do care about it, personally I'm waiting to get a cheap secondhand DVD of it. As for the Oscars, of course we care especially when the likes of Dame Helen Mirren get to win but I don't think her acceptance speech did much to influence the American view of us Brits!

Most of the above answers are cretinous. The film is actually excellent and well-argued, even if you disagree with the conclusions. People with more than half a brain cell do actually know who Al Gore is, and should try watching something other than American Idol.
