Absolutely not. Look what happened to Cheney and both Kennedys. This has always been a problem for me. And the worst part is it's all about greed, money who can get the scoop on TV the fastest not caring about the fact that they are putting people in harms way.
Freedom of press, sure but they should use common sense and discretion when it involves our government on terrorist soil.

It doesn't matter if they report or not. Terrorists would already have their whereabouts disclosed to them. It should make you wonder, if they are able to check on where our government officials are, why haven't they "targeted" them? It's funny how every head of every nation meets every year for the "League of Nations" meeting and yet it has never been targeted by these so called "terrorists." Don't believe everything the government tells you. Find the information out for yourself. Thank you.

No
Free Press doesn't mean you have the right to endanger people's lives just for headlines.
In WWII reporters would get briefing from the generals and told to sit on it for 24 hours. They would because they knew it would kill our troops if they did however that is over with now.
It is the news organization that can leak anything at anytime without being held responible under the banner of Free Press.

Which is not what the framers had in mind.

Yes, we should know all of the happenings of those in power. That's what is known as democracy. If our "leaders" weren't attacking and raping the rest of the world, they wouldn't have to fear for their own safety.

NO......"Freedom of the Press", "Freedom of Speech".....of course those are powerful rights that if never instilled or taken away would be disastrous in so many ways...HOWEVER, the "Media" has a way of doing good and screwing things up by running at the mouth....You can't go into a crowded public place and scream "FIRE"!!! That would cause chaos and potential harm...but that's Freedom of Speech isn't it? Saying whatever you want to?....There has to be limits in Everything......For Safety reasons, due to the fact this isn't 1925 it's 2007, post 9/11.....when you have 18 yr old KIDS (They are still "kids" mentally/emotionally) think nothing of strapping wads of explosives to their bodies and blow themselves up for "causes" that they really have no idea how friggen stupid they are, just brainwashed, there is a fine line between "news" and just running at the mouth to fill air time!!!!!!!

Yes. Why shouldn't we know what our elected officials are doing. OUR TAXES PAY THEIR SALARY. WE HAVE A RIGHT TO KNOW WHAT THEY DO AND WHERE THEY GO! How do we know that if they goto some unknown place and its known thats a vacation spot and we question,"Oh why did they go there" for vacation? Or other things

and if the neocon agenda nuts think differently, maybe you need to be in FA (Faux Annonymous) LA (Limbaugh Annonymous). a 9 step program to rid your mind of bull!

If a political leader releases his/her itinerary the media should report it--as Cheney did with his current trip to Afghanistan/Pakistan. If leaders want to keep their travel plans confidential, then they shouldn't announce those plans (and sometimes that's the case).
