i used gold bond powder... not the best smell in the world, but it helped a lot!

another thing to remember is that as hard as it may be, don't start itching... it just makes it worse! ignore it, do something else, the itch will eventually go away.

but gold bond was one of my favorite things when i was pregnant!

Do you have any stretch marks? I have a 10 year old and my stretch marks still get itchy, especially when the air is dry or when I wear pants that rub on them. I would stick with the lotion and maybe try some lubriderm, straight Vitamin E or Aloe Vera Gel (or straight from the plant). Another option would be a little cortizone cream, unless you are breast feeding. Good luck.

i totally understand!! I started itching around the same time as you or maybe earlier. I just keep some vitamin e lotion in my purse and use it whenever i feel itchy. it may not be instant relief but it definitely helps. if lotion is not working at all for you, i would talk to your doc. no one wants stretch marks from scratching!! good luck with everything! :)

Throughout my pregnancy so far my belly hasn't itched, but my breast has. I still havn't found a solution to it...

One of the girls in my office recommended aloe vera lotions and stuff to help soothe your skin. Talk to your doctor and maybe he/she can offer you something, so you can get some relief!

Some people swear by oatmeal baths, or other oatmeal related lotions and such. Also I recommend NOT scratching it, you are probably going to have stretchmarks I am sorry to tell you. Avoid hot water or prolonged water in general as this also tends to sap the skin of its natural oils.

same thing happened to me. it will pass but it can make you miserable until it does. there really isn't anything you can do for it b/c you can't take otc medication. ask your doc if he knows of any way to alleviate it. best of luck with your pregnancy.
