For around 3-4 months i have been getting this thing where i start to wee but towards the end of the wee i seem to 'tighten' and can't let anymore out even though i know there is more in there.

5 mins later i need to go again.....and again....this is extremely annoying especially when i have to keep getting out of bed again to go....or waking up with a bursting bladder as there is so much trapped in there!

It also seems like it stings like cystitis sometimes, but had a urine test 2 months ago and nothing showed up?

This is driving me mad!!!

Maybe you have a urinary tract infection. I suggest another trip to the doc to do another urine test & maybe get referred to do an ultrasound to make sure there is nothing wrong with your waterworks.

Go to the doctors again tell them your still having problems you could have a infection and the first test might have missed it. I had something similar after I had my first baby and never said anything...after embrassing moments...came to find out I had some type of infection. So make an appointment.

A friend of mine has a condition called Fibromyalgia. Part of the symptoms are "irritable bladder" which sounds just like you describe. A rheumatologist is the best one to diagnose Fibromyalgia.

You maybe describing tenesmus, a sensation of incomplete emptying. You don't give your age which is surprisingly helpful in deciding conditions patient may be at risk of.

Generally change in bowel habit is always taken seriously by GPs and you should have an examination.

could you possibly be pregnant? this was one of the things i got when about 2 months preggers. I'm 5 months now and still have it. I also have a mild uterine prolapse that is due to my weak pelvic floor. If you keep on top of your pelvic floor exercises this should help to alleviate the problem.

It could possibly be kidney stones blocking the urethra, they don't usually affect a urine sample so I would go back to the Doctors asap and demand further investigation.

You need to see a urologist and get this checked out. Something is going on and only a urologist will be able to get to the bottom of your urination problems.
