There are many ways to build a professional website.

1. Hire one or two freelancer to develop for you.

2. Find an advertising agency to develop for you.

If it's a truly professional website you are after and you prefer not to do it yourself, I would say get in contact with a web design company (such as myself) ;) and get started!!

An unbiased opinion would be to say that you should get some quotes from different design companies and go with the best one!!

Some web hosting providers have in-built site-builders for the non-coding people... Often quite easy to use.

if by chance you are selling products I recommend yahoo stores. You do not have to know anything about the web to get your store up and running within hours. It may seem a bit pricy, however if you recreated all the great features on you own site it would cost a fortune.
