Florida has a lot of palm trees and I am aware that South Carolina has a few too. But does North Carolina? About where on the east coast do you stop seeing palm trees?

Roughly at the SC/NC border (northern SC). Obviously there aren't as many in SC as there are in Florida. And in GA and SC they only grow near the coast, not very far inland, and they're pretty much only the palmetto kind of palm tree.
