I can think of only one logical reason, which I would like to describe in the following situation: Suppose someone had been arrested for her (or his, but let me give an example I once heard) political beliefs, the political party she belonged to, and for trying to escape from a certain advancing army. Suppose she had been beaten and called names (such as whore) on the way to prison. Suppose that in an event, during which prisoner in that prison were mass-beaten (like on the 4.6.1992 in the Tarcin Silo), she was forced to bite her finger until it drew blood, and then to strip naked in front of those were going to mass-beat up the male prisoners, and on that occasion, other female prisoners were beaten up too. Suppose she didn't have shower during her first 3 months (out of 3.5. years) in that prison. And suppose that after that, the Western media shunned her, wasn't interested in her story, and blamed her side as the aggressors, and her torturers as the victims. If I were it her position, I think I would strap a bomb on myself and detonated it among as many Westerners as possible.

If your talking about the suicide bombers it's because of there religion. They think the us and other countrys are the devil. They think they need to sacrifice there life for their country and god.
