Because he did something that Bush cannot adequately do - he led this country. And they were unable to take him down, despite pulling out the big guns and trying really, really hard.

I'm fairly confident that if most republicans met Bill Clinton they would have to grudgingly admit that on a personal level, they actually could like him.
It isn't about the person my friend. When one holds certain values that they believe in strongly, and a person or group in positions of power take actions that are opposed to those beliefs, people tend to take it personally.
I don't hate Clinton. I do abhor the philosophy of socialism, democratic socialism, communism and marxism. Anyone that supports the philosophies behind those "isms" is seen as someone that opposes what I believe to be the foundations of our country.
And yes, I do take THAT personally because I consider that with time and succes on their parts, our freedom will become a matter of historical debate, not the foundation of a vibrant society that it has been for so long.

Because they are always drinking the Fox Noise Media and OxyRush koolaid, instead of just opening their eyes and seeing things for themselves. The Clintons are not liberals. They are globalists. Just look at Bubba's policies, NAFTA, which shipped all our jobs overseas, that certainly isn't progressive or "liberal" and letting all the media outlets merge, which helped finish up what Raygun started and allowed the Fox Noise Machine and others to dumify this nation with it's corporate propoganda. Bubba is also a member of the Bohemian Grove, the Council on Foreign Relations and other globalist groups. Now why do Republicans hate Bill Clinton? I have no idea other than they refuse to think for themselves and see the truth slapping them in the face. Wake up America, you are being taken for a ride and if you don't do something soon, this country is headed for deep trouble.

There are several reasons why I dislike the man...first he pulled us out of Somalia, which embolden our enemies...secondly, he down sized our military, cut our budget, and sent us places we never should have went...I spent 8 years in the Army under this idiot...he only gave us the pay raises required by law yearly, nothing more...he cut our benefits and made the military weak...it is a shame when a soldier has to be on food stamps to take care of his family...one thing Bush did do was give us outstanding pay raises...sometimes three or four a year since he has been in office...why do you think the military overwhelmingly voted for him in 04? I hate Clinton because I used to have to decided weather to pay my car payment or buy my children Christmas presents, while he was giving money to lazy people who will not work...that is why I hate him...his bull mess affected me personally...

Raised the gas tax by 2.4 cents a gallon. He wanted to raise it 4.7 cents a gallon, but congress would not let him.
Reduced the Armed Forces by more than 800,000 troops and more than 37 installations then deployed more Soldiers over five years than in all the conflicts since WWI

Wow the Republicans are out in droves giving the thumbs down to any answer they disagree with! Good job guys, way to censor thought!
That aside, Clinton balanced a budget, took criticism with dignity, and conduct foreign affairs in a relatively diplomatic manner that did not end in full blow, long lasting wars, and finally Clinton admitted his errors. Clinton was an everyman. He brought an accessibility and personality to the white house that hadn't been seen in decades.
This goes against the seemingly closed door politics Republicans seem to prefer.

His domestic policies were horrible and the only worse president on foreign affairs was Carter. Appeasement of the enemy doesn't work. He should have resigned when his involvement in Whitewater came out, he is a common thief and liar.

Actually a very wealthy Democrat, David Geffen, the world's BIGGEST Dem candidate supporter, said it best:
"The Clintons are liars."
That about sums it up.
