A hidden talent is a skill or trait that you may not know you have or consider a talent. Not to be confused with genetic traits, such as being double-jointed or the ability to curl your tongue. Some people are naturally gifted at something, such as maybe the guitar or piano or cooking or mathmatical problems or something to that effect but they haven't found out they have this natural gift. It could also be sports, a natural talent with animals or possibly a logic related skill/talent such as the uncanny ability to understand the schematics of chess or checkers. Many people know how to play chess or checkers but that does not mean they fully understand the process of the game. A hidden talent can be many, many things and the only way to find them is to try different things, whether they interest you or not. You never know what you may be good at!

When you realize that you have a talent for something you didnt know you had. So it was a hidden talent up til the point you discovered it :)

it is a talent that one has but has not had the opporunity to realize it. its a talent you didnt know you had. its like starting something new that you didnt you were good at. Then people make the assumption that it was a hidden talent. you didnt know you were good at it, but you actually are.

All of we human being are individually gifted with unique qualities and talent.Only thing is that we don't know it. Actually we are not aware of this fact unless somebody else approaches to us and say , excellent! my dear; you are genius, you are so talented. So I think hidden talent is your ability, discovered and recognized by others about which you were quite unaware till date.

a talent that is hidden. like, someone comes to a hockey gam and spots a girl with talent. but she dont know it yet. so he/she trains the hockey player.

It's a term which is often misused or used in jest, therefore it's easy to misunderstand.

Like, say, when a child can fold origami outstandingly well, perform martial arts postures like a pro, or speak a foreign language; its something you wouldn't know/perceive about the child based on everyday behavior.
