Could this be caused by her producing eggs?

have a breeding pair of Albino Oscars. I don't breed them due to room restraints. Lately, I've noticed swelling on both sides of the female. Mostly the right side. Also I think more blackness around it. Not sure if that may be a internal bruise, bc it's an albino oscar. shes had the knot on her right side for almost two months. Her fins look a little rough on the ends. I got a jack dempsey from a friend whos oscar swelled up then died. His tank was extremely filthy. I treated my tank with parasite clear soon as the new fish was added and their overall health seemed to improve. The Jack still looks grayish, not sure if this is normal either. I do weekly water changes. Not sure what I should do, I don't want to wait any longer and have my fish die. Here are some pictures. Thank you for any advice.

Uneven swelling is not normal. The fish most likely has a illness of some sort or a genetic defect. I would recommend talking to someone at a local petshop that is knowledgable about Oscars. If they don't sound as if they have expertise ignore them or they may end up selling you medication that will do more harm than good.

If the fish is behaving normally otherwise I wouldn't get too concerned, as it could be a genetic defect or a problem relating to the size of the fish relative to the size of the tank. Or possibly a reaction to water conditions that are not ideal.

If the fish is acting oddly, you might consider finding an appropriate antibotic and administer it for the recommended duration.

Good luck with your fish.

Probably not. Swelling on one side only would be more likely a disease of some type. If you can add any other symptoms you are seeing maybe we can figure out what the problem is and a potential cure.
