Email charles dunstone - the Carphone Warehouse CEO - give a full and detailed account of your complaint. You should get some response normally in your favour...

Go to the CPW website and click on contact us, then use the drop down list to ensure that you select CEO office.

If all this fails and you still think you are right, contact your local trading standards office.

Good luck!

Hi Antonia.

I don;t know if this is the answer you're looking for but hope helps.

I have a sneaking suspicion that under contract terms and conditions that if anything goes wrong with your phone (unsure of timescale) - you as the customer are obliged to give them an opportunity to resolve this to your COMPLETE satisfaction.... Now this sounds as though you have given them this opportunity and they failed.

I'd suggest a letter of complaint in writing - however does take a while.

Contact your local Citizen's Advice Bureaux or Trading Standards/ They will tell you exactly how and where you stand!!

Check out their website on this link:
http://www.carphonewarehouse.com/commerce/servlet/gben-server-PageServer?ARTICLE=MAIN.UK.INTERNET.HELPINFO.ORDERONLINE.GUARANTEES.14DREPPROM

(didn't want to copy whole lot and bore you to tears!!)

Hope helps.
Stick to your guns - you are in the right - the goods are faulty!!!

when you say you took it back within the 28 days as it was broken and they sent it off and it took 3 weeks...WHY DIDNT THEY GIVE YOU A NEW ONE THEN or like what it says your money back? you mite wana bring that up with them!
and are you sure that the guy that went to chip your phone didnt cause the fault himself as believe me that has happened!
and also if you do go to trading standards dont say about your phone been chipped tho!
also please dont go back to them threating them with claims court without knowing any details 1st.
another thing did your boyfriend pay on a credit card/visa if so he can claim the money back through the branch he is with!

put everything in writing and post it to their head office and also threaten trading standards giving them a chance to sort it AND compensate you.

yep, trading standards.

and-dont accept a replacement-you want your money back (and try and get compensation!)....why should they continue to have your business when they clearly dont care for their customers?
