The teaching styles and methodologies adopted by a teacher may discourage students from paying attention while in class. Also refusals to do your math home work is another factor that make student don't understand the subject.
We need math for everyday life activities and it is the real foundation to understanding other subjects.

Well, as far as why math is hard for you, a lot of it probably has to do with what side of your brain you use. Some people tend toward the creative side and are good with language skills, art and similar subjects but struggle with logic problems and math. Other people are great at math and logic related problems and situations but struggle with language skills and creativity. Math is just hard for you, not everyone. I'm one of those people who is better with language and art than I am with math and logic. You can overcome your problems with math, though. If I can do it, anyone can. Tutoring would probably be a good idea for you, I know it worked wonders for me.
As to why we need math... Whether we're willing to admit it or not, it's one of the few things we're taught in school that we use in the every day world. Math is a universal language and it applies to all things in life, from cooking to music to programming to relativity. There are several theories that show us everything is mathmatical, including DaVinci's concept of proportion. It's just one of those things you have to learn to be able to succeed in life and have a better understanding of the world around you.

well, it is probably the teaching style. The teacher must be explaining it in a way that doesn't make sense to you. A bad teacher can be devastating to a GPA. Ask the teacher to try and explain it to you in a different way. As far as why you need it? When you get out in the world as an adult you use it more then you would have ever guessed trust me!

you will most likely use math in your job someday LOL
maybe this teacher is just not a good teacher so the math seems harder---maybe they don't teach it in an adaptable way so that all can learn---not everyone learns the same way---sounds like this teacher needs to be creative and adaptable
(2x-4)(3x+12)
foil freddy and make a smile face----that's how you solve this

Because that one teacher leads an unfulfilled life of depression and solitude and takes out their issues through teaching wanting all the students to try beyond breaking points and/or just fail. What a douche.
