I do. My prayers do get answered, but I don't pray in the conventional manner. My thoughts are my prayers and, as God knows my every thought, my prayers become manifest. I'm an ex Buddhist turned psuedo Christian so it all blends together nicely.

He answers my prayers. Sometimes not the way I expected... Once I prayed for water to drink and a man ran by with a cardboard box full of water that burst all over me. From then on I decided to be a little more specific, such as asking for a cup. I love God's sense of humor. He totally caught me off guard with that one. Oh, and I was the person who ended up the wettest, nobody else was soaked, just me. God is so great, he knows when I could use a laugh.

Believers and followers of Jesus Christ are those who affiliate with the religions of Christianity, including the branches of Catholicism.
There are some exceptions, including Messianic Judaism, which is the following of traditional Jewish principles and practices while accepting the teachings of Christ and believing him to be the Messiah promised to the Jewish people.
Notably, there are many divided sects of Christianity, including Mormonism, Jehovah's Witness, and Christian Science, which are the topic of heavy debate and are not necessarily considered equal to protestant Christianity within the religion itself.
Finally, there are those who do not affiliate with any religion, but do believe that Jesus Christ was divine.
I believe that answers "who" believes in Jesus Christ.

Most historians (including many pagans and atheists) believe in Jesus as a historical figure. Muslims believe in Jesus as a great prophet. Christians believe in Jesus as the son of God (and/or as a material incarnation of God as described in the Christian Bible). Since I assume you are referring specifically to the Christian form of belief in Jesus, I will address this form of belief more specifically, and rephrase your question in this way: "What type of person becomes a Christian?" The most common way to be a Christian is to grow up on a Christian family and/or live in a culture in which most people are Christian. For a lot of these people, the indoctrination from a young age is so strong that they are simply terrified by what might happen if they don't believe what they are taught. Some people convert to Christianity. This can often be the result of some sort of peer pressure, but it typically involves a feeling of being taken care of. People tend to fear the unknown, and they want to believe that there is some higher purpose to their lives. A Christian style of belief in Jesus provides this feeling of purpose – the sense of security in knowing that however bad things get, somehow God will make it all good. This is the real root of almost all religious belief: The desire for a sense of "cosmic security" – a sense that there is some ultimate loving being or force that protects us and gives our lives meaning.

Personally, I believe in Jesus as a historical figure, and as a spiritual being. I don't believe everything that the Bible says, or take all of the stories literally. Christianity is one of many spiritual paths that contribute to our understanding of life and ourselves.

And yes, my prayers are often answered, although when I pray, I think more in terms of "Goddess" that "God". That's just my personal preference. I think the "creator" of Being is both male and female, and ultimately beyond either.

Jesus believed in himself and God enough to die a violent death. I wish that I believed in Jesus as much as he believed in himself. I'm human, I have questions, I fall short of what he asked for.
Yes, I have had prayers answered. If you have faith the size of a mustard seed you can move mountains. Ask God questions and in his strange ways he will get back to you. Keep your eyes open.

anyone that had the whole concept of controlling the masses engrained in them since an early age. or anyone that feels guilt for something will always turn to God in adesperate bid for answers.

OLD people really start believing just in case they were wrong all their lives when they really couldnt care less.

and no they never get answered otherwise the world would be a great place,

Jesus died for our sins?........ So we have to spend an eternity thanking him? millions of us mere mortals die for absolutly no reason at all. and we have the big guy upstairs to thank for that.

We are the same as the bug u flatten with your car, our death is a non-event. it just gives us humans some reassurance that we are more in the world than that bug/dog/deer/owl etc.

Religion is the ultimate control that knows no borders, and relys on the human fear of death.

i do believe in Him. But i am sorry to say that i am not as holy as the heavenly Father is holy. Sad part is i am caught up with the deceitfulness of riches and lusts of the world. i hate it and i want to get out of all this mire.

i don't want to be lukewarm. i want to bear the mark of Jesus Christ. i wish to wear the spiritual armour of God mentioned in the epistles. i want to be the salt of the Earth. i would like to worship the Master with a true heart, a contrite and a broken heart. i pray that i repent for my sins and walk the Way. i wish to take my cross and follow Him. thank Him, for all His mercy and love. knowing that i don't deserve it, He still loves this sinner. i wish to live up to His expectations and be as an example for this world. i pray that i stand up for Him, when the world will persecute me because i bear His name.

yes, my prayers are answered time and again. even if they are not answered, i will still look up to Him. "i will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from where comes my help? my help comes from the Lord which made the heaven and the earth."
