I havnt felt like that for bloody years.
Im not sure what year you are studying, and perhaps you are just really gifted.
Whatever you do, stay in school. Dont drop out because you find it boring. Do the classwork your teacher sets. Also you might consider speaking privately with your teacher after school and explain to them how you feel. They could suggest additional reading material or more advanced work for you.
Remember, teachers love acedemic students, they will be proud of your abilities.
I never struggled in high school and always got good grades.
But boy, that all changed when I went to University. I realised high school was easy - because they hold your hand.
Another thing, dont forget to challenge yourself. If you are in a Math class, take the advanced class. If your school offers language classes dont take Spanish or Italian if you already speak Spanish at home (as many of my friends do for easy credit). Instead, challenge yourself. My school offered Latin for instance. No one felt smart in that class I assure you!!
Also, make sure you take a variety of classes. You may breeze through Physics and know the periodic table backwards in Chemistry, but how are your writing skills. Try a Psychology or Philosophy class which requires a combination of text book science (psychology) and your own critical thought. You may have to write a 1500 word paper on a philosophical topic which has no 1 correct answer. Or it may be 10,000 words.
I am glad you feel smarter than your classmates. Be very thankful of that gift, and pass it along. Be smart and offer to help those around you who are struggling in class. Dont ever ridicule your classmates or let them know they are sorry s.o.b.s.
Because that wouldnt be smart!!
Good Luck to you

Most people can manipulate their thoughts so that they can feel superior to others in some context, any context.

It seems to offer them solace when they find that their self esteem has outpaced reality.

However, in your case, it might be true. You sound confident, anyway. That's half the battle.
