I know you shouldn't lay on your back for too long. I was wondering if twisting the legs like that is okay. Has anyone done this stretch when pregnant?

It looks perfectly safe to me. When I was pregnant with my youngest daughter I went to a chiropractor a couple of times and I was nearly twisted into a pretzel! I had no troubles at all (the visits were approved by my OB).

Good luck!

Usually pregnant women are not advised to lie on their stomach like that - however, I am not a crazy preggo and continue to do just about everythign I did before but with modifications. I continue to lie on my back and can only sleep on my back.

The only real concern with that twist is to make sure you are not twisting the stomach area. Upper back twists are great to relieve the pressure from the extra weigth gain in the chest area. When doing the twist, make sure that your navel is not twisting. It shoudl continue to face front and you should be fine. In fact, it is a recommended pose for prenatal yoga.

Well, I don't know for sure, but according to my trainer you are not supposed to lay on your back to work out anymore once you've past like week 16 (I did it right away just to be sure).
So I would say no, but the best bet is to ask the Dr.
