Heard the news? I seen in happen! I was on a bus that morning going to my college, and I seen a plane going into Tower #2. As I was listening to the radio news that morning, it confirmed what I seen. We were about 10 of us on the bus that morning and I told the bus driver,"Turn on the radio, we are under attack".

I remember walking past St. Patricks Catherdal and you can see all the televisions in the banks showing CNN Breaking News about the two towers that were engulfed in flames. And as Im running to my college Im listening the news on my walkman and I stop short and Im like,"Holy ****" The person on the street in front of me replied,"What" and I told him "The Pentagon was hit".

When I finally get to my college, my lounge area was like a triage area. People all over in shock, so I helped those who needed it (I felt like a doctor on call; getting them water and finding where security was),my friend grabbed my arm pulling me to a television and about 100 of us in a room watched both towers tumble to the ground

I walked about 70 blocks that day (My college was all the way near Central Park, and I had to walk to Brooklyn, so for people who dont know how the city is, you got about 60 blocks from Manhattan to downtown, and then over the Brooklyn Bridge. That was the worst day of my life.

Getting ready to take a bath. I cut the television on just for background noise and I noticed Katie Couric looking funny. There was smoke rising (at the time it looked like it was in back of her) and I remember thinking to myself, what kind of commercial is this and why is she so serious. After a few moments I realized something was terribly wrong. I can't remember if I took a bath that day.

I was in between periods in high school. At that time I really didn't know what the twin towers were, just that they were tall buildings in new york. When i heard people talking about that they were hit with a plane i was like you all are stupid what are you talking about? then when i got to my next class, the tv was turned on and i watched the tragic events unfold. That entire day was nothing but moving from class to class and watching the events unfold and praying for all those there.

I was getting ready to go play golf. I had taken the day off work and had just gotten my son on the school bus when it came on the news of the first one. My husband had went to the bank and then got back and then it showed the second plane. I was too upset to go play golf. We stayed home and watched it all day. We live near an airport and it was eerily scary quiet... no flights were going in or out. Sad day for sure!! Great question!!

I was at work (on an army base, so you can imagine the chaos) when the first plane hit. Somebody came running in they were on the phone with somebody in NYC when it hit and yelled what happened. We turned on CNN just in time to see the 2nd plane hit. CNN just happened to be there doing something completely unrelated and caught it all. We just stopped what we were doing and went home to spend time with our loved ones. By the time the 2nd plane hit we knew our soldiers would be leaving soon and we wanted to be with them. By the time the last plane landed in the field we were crying and cheering for them at the same time. It was a HORRIBLE day but thank god for those few brave people who saved many many more lives.

Getting ready to go to school to teach. I was living with two other teachers and I was brushing my teeth in front of the t.v. news and saw the building burning. I called my room mates to ask if this was real and they said..."Naw...its just the preview for a movie."

I kept watching a little longer and called them in again to watch for a second and listen. I was beginning to think it was real and they were still in denial and sort of laughing at me for taking it seriously. Another plane hit the building and they quit laughing and listened closely and then everyone realized that it was for real.

It really took a while to sink in. American news broadcasts more on entertainment and celebraties than they do the real news so Americans don't know what to believe anymore. Celebraties and movie entertainment is NOT news. They should knock it off.

This should be interesting -- everyone remembers where they were -- GOOD QUESTION!!
I was working in a construction office in Virginia and a co-worker had her radio on and said a plane just crashed into a building -- then another -- and then we went on-line to check it all out. I know someone who was driving a truck by the Pentagon and got debris in the back of his truck as that plane crashed while he was driving by.
