I would like to keep new house in my name. Will a pre-nup cover this? Someone told me, even if his name doesnt go on the loan, it goes on the deed.

Only if you are married, His name shouldn't be on the deed as long as you are doing all the financing yourself. However , if you are married , both names go on the deed. I would definitely get a Pre-nup for property acquired prior to the Marriage, remember that Marriage, not engagement. Engagement is not a legally binding condition. So if that's what you want , do it before you say I DO

This is going to be hard to do because the 2 of you are married. More than likely both your names will have to be on the deed of the new property, when you are both married, even if you are paying for the loan and it is in your name. You already know that anything you earn or own after you are married has the risk of being split into half when you divorce.

Alternatively, you could keep your current house and rent it out to a tennant; then protect your present home with a trust of you or your kids as beneficiaries. Also, include your present home in your pre-nup as your own personal property that cannot be touched in the event of a divorce because you acquired it before you got married. Get a good lawyer to advice you on how to organize these matters before you walk down the aisle.
