hey gurls i wanna know about tampons and pads, what are their difference?how do they look like?which one is advicable to wear? how about costs is their a difference? and what are their difference is the tampons more better if yes then why and if no why are the pads much more advisable?

tampons are good during the day and pads at night. it is not good to wear tampons at night because you can get TSS (toxic shock syndrom) if you leave them in too long, plus they do not provide enough protection while you are sleeping. i use tampax pearl because they are easy to use (they are a little more expensive then other tampons) and i use always with wings pads (they actually make pads for the night time) tampons can cost more than pads depending on the brand and applicator type (they have plastic and cardboard) I personally do not like the cardboard type because they seem more difficult to use. basically everyone has different preferences. Neither is better or worse than the other, although it is better tyo use pads at night to reduce the risk of Toxic Shock Syndrome which is associated with Tampons. Most women prefer to use pads when they first start their periods, pads can look a bit big and scary but they are very discreet. Tampons absorb the blood inside the body which reduces the risk of smell assosciated with pads if not changed regularly? whatever you choose, both need to be changed at regular intervals for hygeine reasons, at the end of the day only you can decide what you prefer. Have an experiment, but remember follow all instructions and if you go for tampons always choose the loest absorbancy for you period. hope this helps

i wear pads and their good but they are kinda annoying sometimes but you cant ever get that sickness thing from wearing a tampon too long thats why i wear pads cuz its alot easier to change a pad every couple of hours rather than possibly get a sickness from a tampon so yeah. i get pads from the Always brand and the cost like almost 10 dolllars sometimes but i spend that kinda money because i dont want the crappy ones that are paper towles. i think tampons would cost around the same price as Always pads so..

Used to wear tampons,they give you much more freedom(can swim with them), there is no leakage at the sides,and do not show through your underwear,just like pads though you have to change them regularly.Don't know about the cost as it has been some time now since i bought any.
You could always have a chat with the family planning clinic or the nurse at your Dr's.

If you have a terrible memory your're probably better off with the pads, but if you can remember to remove and refresh your tampon usage then many women find them more convenient and descreet than pads.

Well...personally I find tampons are better for sticking in your ears and a couple of large pads are very useful when you turn your moggy into a plane....

it is personal choice what you buy for that time of the month. although if you hav a coil fitted you hav 2 b careful using tampons as they can pull a coil out. and looking in your supermarket youl find plenty of choice and it is finding what you find comfortable wearing.

i think sanitory towels are much better than tampons. i use always ultra they are great. i would not use tampons incase of toxic shock syndrome!!
