Yes! I was really impressed by the amount of detail in this movie. I'm glad the Oscar didn't go to the most sentimental movie, like Flags Of Our Fathers. A good script should always win over sentimentality.

I can't say I agree, I liked the Departed but it was at least 30 mins. too long and not really that exciting. Perhaps there were no better choices this year

Of the nominated films it was the best, but Little Children was better, and The Lost City was almost as good.

yes i agree, even though it may not be scorceses best film it was long overdue and thoroughly deserved all the same.

well, we have nothing to do about it... oscars is oscars... even if we don't like the winners, it's done already... they have their own criteria.
