I'm quite prone to ankle sprains and recently I have sprained my ankle again. I went to the doctor twice and he suspected that I may have arthritis but my blood test came back negative yesterday so I'm fine. But recently, I seem to hear quite a bit of soft clicking sounds in my joints when I move. From my knees, wrists to hips. I'm only 18. Anyone knows what is causing the clicking sounds and should I just ignore it?

Most frequently, clicking or cracking noises from joints are called "crepitus" and are benign.

It's due to irregularities in the joint surface, gas bubbles coming out of solution in the joint, or can be due to arthritis.

If there's no pain or inflammation associated with the noise, there isn't much cause for worry.

It may be the cartilage, The material that separates and smooths the ends of the bones at the joints. If it gets torn it will "click" when you move that joint. It is pretty easy to tear/injure the cartilage. It sometimes can be fixed with surgery

Its just an overlap of the bone, cartilage or tendons. Try stretching more and not clicking, a little cod liver oil and Glucosamine sulphate (pretty natural), for excellent results and renewed strength and vitality : ) click

I have the same problem...it comes and goes. I have and inflamation in the muscles and tissues in my joints. It should go away, but if it doesn't, see a doctor (a new one).
