Weed in considered non addictive in the classic sense as there are no withdrawal symptoms such as there are with narcotics and opiates. A person can develop a habit of using it however if he smokes it frequently.

Not really. There is no physical addiction/withdrawl as with substances like alcohol and opiates.
There could be psychological addiction, but then, you can be psychologically addicted to most anything.
Take a look at people who are obviously obese. Would you call doughnuts and cheese fries "gateway foods?"
Some people just have a good sense of self-control and others have little or none.
As a culture, we just find it all to easy to point a finger at an object as a cause for our problems, instead of realizing that WE are the problem.
Weed is not seriously addicting; I tell you that from experience. But then, I'm a person that understands moderation and self-control.
Some people can't put the bottle down. Some can't keep their hands of junk food. Some can't put the TV remote down.
All things related to sensual pleasure have a potential for "addiction," but it is not inherent in the object.
Again, WE are the problem with addiction.

A person can get addicted to ANYTHING.
Science is finding out that some people have addictive behavior patterns, based on chemical imbalances in the brain.
Regarding your question about marijuana, you give very little pertinent information.
For a qualitative response, you'd need to provide the following information:
1. your age, weight, overall health;
2. the quality of the weed (i.e., THC amount);
3. the amount smoked daily.
In my opinion, you'd do well to consult with a doctor and get a professional outlook on what you need to do to stay healthy.

The p.c. phrase is "habituated". Yes, one can develop a dependence on the drug. It takes only a few experiences before you start to miss it when you don't have it. The upside is, it's quite easy to stop and never touch it again, unlike with tobacco, the most addictive substance, legal or otherwise, known to man.

Some people get addicted after one time, some after 27. Depends on who you are.

1. Experience is the mother of all knowledge. Why dont you give it a try, its just a smokeable ADICTIVE vegetable, nothing so serious about it.
2. Smoke it on a daily basis & you'll go down the drain in less than half a year. Thats why I D.A.R.E to resist drugs by saying; Smoking weed is dengarous for your life. Did you know that a single puff of weed smoked actually produces toxics that can last for more than ten years in your body & damage your brain throughout. U might think about what I said in 1 above & reconsider your options( Better opt not to smoke or I will tell your mom & I aint jokin.)

to THC--no. to the nicotine in weed--yes. it's more of a mental addiction than physical. and addictions can come from the first taste. think long before lighting up!

that is a dumbass question. of course man, reefer is addicting. you will love it after your first time. and then you will want to try it again and again. pretty soon you will be the one handing out rolled joints to all of your friends. if your asking these questions, then maybe pot isnt for you. just be a man and ******* try it.

i would say yes. It's not like you can't live with out it, but you like doing it and don't want to stop. But if you did want to stop then you probably could pretty easily.
