Can a landlord send people to fix something on the roof at 7am. I have no problems in my apartment with the roof and had no idea they would be doing repairs. Is my landlord suppose to notify me that these repairs are taking place. I look out my window and I have a bunch of men standing there. It's 7am, my sister and boyfriend are asleep. Does he have the right not to tell us, or at least wait to later in the day.

He could be nice and inform you that they are going to do maintenance, but in most cases, unless he is entering your apartment, he is in no way obligated to inform you that exterrnal maintenance is going to be done from 6 am to 10:30-11PM, depending on the city's specific noise control laws.

If he is entering your apartment, typically 24 hours notice is standard except in an emergency situation. Otherwise, it's nice to know but not requried to waste the paper to inform every single person about new siding, new roof, etc.

It is technacally the landlord's property. And if 7am was the soonest he could get someone in to fix his property then he's going to do it. It would have been nice if he'd given you some warning.

The landlord has the right to own the land. He gives you the right to rent it.
