I mean a football, tennis ball, netball, etc. I am convinced majority of people have felt this pain at least once in their life.

I took a golf ball in the eye from close range when I was 8. Still have the scar 38 years later.

Yeah, a cold, wet, almost frozen, football right on the end of the nose. BANG! I'm amazed there was no blood, considering the pain it caused, I rolled around on the floor for a while, then went home in the huff with an all over head and face ache!!

A soccer ball, an icy snowball, and a football. I felt like the Earth was spinning and people around me were in slow motion. I hate that feeling.

Oh, YES! I remember, ONE day, - many years, ago, - whilst I was playing CRICKET, that, - during the other side's innings, - I was called into the bowling attack, - right-arm, LEG SPIN, (a la SHANE WARNE)! Having not conceded a single RUN, in FIVE OVERS, - the batsman got a little IMPATIENT, and tried to SMASH the ball, BACK, over my HEAD! He mis-hit the shot, - it came STRAIGHT BACK, at ME, and - WALLOP, - it HIT me, "SQUARELY" in the CENTRE of the FOREHEAD! However, - fortunately, for ME, - I was NOT rendered unconscious, and the ball bounced OFF my head, and went UP, rather than DOWN! One of my team-mates went on to COMPLETE the CATCH! I was DELIGHTED, of course, - but, I had a HELL OF A HEADACHE, for the rest of the match!

I had a soccer ball kicked straight into my face on a very cold, windy day. I couldn't breathe right for about a min after, and my face felt like it had been stuck in snow until numb.

Not just once!!!! I used to play netball, it is the most indescribable pain. It starts burning, your eyes sometimes starts running..... Aaaaaaahhhhh!!!! Don't even want to think about it!

Yes at school a tennis ball hit me in the eye.The next day i had a massive black eye.Jeez it hurt and looked awful !

yup. basketballs and soccer balls. I remember the basketball incident cos I was wearing braces then. it wasn't pretty especially when my braces cut the inside of my mouth. and the worse part of it was that when there's a cut, the metallic sharp edges of the braces keep catching the flesh. then an ulcer forms. but I ignored it and continued playing.

Yes yes yes i know the pain its like being hit with a plank of wood,a quick dull blow to the nose,even your ears start ringing.and you are lost for a brief second.........mine was a basket ball
