i think africa won them becouse i never saw bananas grow in the us.

In the end it didn't matter if Ffyfes or Dole won the Banana Wars between the EU and the U.S. because both companies were owned by United Fruit.

The U.S. won because they managed to convince the World Trade Organization that bananas were a SERVICE!! I'm not making this up.

They won tactical victories, however the long term political effects were mostly negative for the US so in strategic terms they suffered a defeat.
