Did I see Daddy Bennett alive in coming attractions? Why was the haitian wiping out his memories after he shot him?

He wanted his memories wiped so that when his boss finds him, he won't be able to figure out where the Haitian took Claire by torturing the truth out of him... he simply won't remember. He told him to "go deep" so they could never find Claire. Wasn't that the best episode ever?

Hmmm. wonder who the little pansy was that gave me a thumbs down, when I basically said the same thing everyone else said? Probably some pillow-biter.

He wanted to protect Claire. The Haitian shot him in a place where he would not die, so he got his memory whiped afterwards, and he will most likely be saved.

With Matt being on the team, papa Bennet could not afford to have ANY memory of his duplicity. The real question is will he have any memories of Claire left in his head?

It was one of the best TV shows I had seen in quite some time, that one episode really made Heroes shine. I think they throw in some fan service since papa Bennet was often refered to online as "Bad Glasses Man" and they had this cute scene of Claire chosing his glasses. The new open questions now are: Does Hiro's father know he has powers? How will Claire react when she'll learn Peter Petrelli is her uncle, and well, what will Claire do in general?

I'm still recovering from that episode and how much was revealed in it.

Ok, The Haitian shot Daddy Bennett, but not to kill him. Only to give Daddy Bennett an excuse to not take Claire to the paper company people...then he had his memory of "who" shot him erased in case they have a mind reader.
Last night's episode was crrrraaazzzzyyy!

I agree, it was a great episode. But, then, every Heroes episode so far is great.

Although Bennet works for the "bad guys" kind of, he still loves his daughter. He wants her to escape with the Haitian. So, he told the Haitian to shoot him (to fool his boss into believing he had nothing to do with Claire's escape) and have his memories erased so the "mind-readers" won't be able to get anything out of him.

I love this show!!!

So that HRG could honestly say he has no idea what happened, who took Clair or where they might go. This is to protect Clair and the Haitian and keep the Bennets alive.

Yeah he is obviously meant to live or he would have never told the Haitian to "shoot here, an inch higher and I'll die".

The previews are cool.
