what do you think of the racial situation to day in usa? Is it better or worse ,or have the roles swiched.?

On the surface the racial situation is better, there are more blacks attending university and being in the middle classes, latinos and asians are also gaining prominence in politics and elsewhere. But in reality I think if you dig a little the racial biases are still there, they're just more sophisticated in showing them.

It's still a ' them versus us' society both internally and externally, Americans fear alot of things and alot of people.

Despite their projected positive self -esteem and ' influence' in the world , the fact that there is so much of the them vs us mentality belies a really low sense of self-esteem. Might doesn't always mean right.

There's still alot of work to be done , look at the situation with katrina and New Orleans and the whole gulf coast.

But then one can say that in almost every country.

There are positive lights like Oprah Winfrey, Warren Buffett and Bill Gates and many others, holding the torch waiting to pass it on.

I'm wondering with the narcissism displayed with young americans if they 'll get over themselves and actually take up the challenge or retreat into old stereotypes and old thinking because it benefits them and no one else.

worse. i still get horrible attitudes from african american women working for the public. this is my opinion, the majority resent having to serve you. i serve people too. i get eye rolls, snappy answers and body language that is easily read. i want to tell them that i have black friends and they don't act like they have a chip on their shoulder.

honest it getting better, but we all got a long way to go,,, as you know their a lot of hate on all sides,,, i my self ,, i think if people would stop looking are coler , an race an look at the person, we all be better people
