Please read carefully because I asked this yesterday....
I sent an email to a good friend yesterday. She responded to me and was waiting for me to write her back. I sent another email later and NOW getting an error that reads:
This message was created automatically by mail delivery software (Exim).

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

email address here
SMTP error from remote mailer after end of data:
host mx1.earthlink.net [209.86.93.226]: 554 forwarding loop, mail is looping

What does "looping" mean???
Thanks!! (it's an earthlink address)
I DID HAVE THE CORRECT EMAIL ADDRESS.

I got an answer that said something about "forwarding" but no messages were forwarded or anything.

THANK YOU!!

If you are absolutely sure that you typed in the correct email address, it could be any number of things. Chances are that the email you are sending it to has set up a forwarding address that has no set email address to send the forwarded messages to. Okay, that may sound confusing, but in simple terms, the person who has the email address you are sendng to needs to reset his/her settings to prevent the forwarding. It's out of your control unfortunately.
