this planet is a closed system
a collection of eco systems ,dimensionally within and upon each other
all life is interrelated through the medium of water ,
99 molecules out of a 100 are water ,with almost all life forms ,plants animals and people
and millions of years of evolution have produced a fine tuned equilibrium
and we all exist becaus of everything else
mess with one componant in the chain and other links colapse or will suffer
they once sprayed for mosquitos in the Daunabe and all of the life in the forrests disapeared ,showing that one cannot mess with the food chain
so there fore we must respect all life forms because they are part of us ,and we are part of them .
not only animals but forrests as well.
apart from the fact that nature is beautifull and it would be a shame if our children would only have books to remind them of that

Actually you're wrong. Dogs, cats, pigs, sheep, horses, etc, etc. can survive pretty well on their own without human interaction. Otherwise, we would not have wild populations of domesticated animals in the world. There are feral dogs and cats in cities, farm raised wild hogs in Southeast US, Wild horses in Southwest US, I could go on.
Anyway, All domesticated animals still have the ability to live without human contact. Even cows.
And as to why we should be nice to them? well, how you treat animals is a reflection on how you treat other people.

We ought to treat all animals with great respect, because they are essential for existence on this planet. Domesticated animals, and especially food animals ought to be treated respectfully because they provide us with sustenance. Pet animals are there for companionship and should be regarded with honor as well. Destroy the other life forms birds, animals, fish, insects and plants and we destroy ourselves.

Domesticated animals weren't created that way... they were DOMESTICATED. they used to be wild before humans trained them. if they were not with humans, they would be wild.
They are perfectly able to live without us. Thats the way God made them. He made them to exist alone, but they have been domesticated. That doesnt eman they could not survive in the wild.
My cat lives outside and she is fine. if we forget to feed her she just goes and catches a rat. its instict

its our own fault that they are domesticated in the first place "you are forever responsible for what you have tamed" . when you say "man" its kinda too general, there are a lot of people who do treat them with respect an alot who dont, we just have to get regulated
