Who saw the fact that Claire was given to her "daddy" by Hiro's father?.......i so didnt see that coming....maybe Claires daddy isnt a bad guy after all.....and another thing.....i missed a few mins of the show and when i came bk Claires father was getting shot. Y did he get shot?....to protect Claire?

I don't really understand why he was shot, rather than just having his memory erased. Maybe so it could look like there was an armed robbery/kidnapping? Or will his memory be erased so that he doesn't remember Claire AT ALL? If that's the case, wouldn't someone have to come in and remodel her bedroom and take all of her stuff? And what's up with her brother? They said Claire's parents couldn't conceive... so is the brother adopted, too? Does he have powers? Is he part of the plot somehow?

My wife and I noticed right away. Makes the whole leaving Hiro behind thing kida wierd though by his dad if he is fanatical like he is on the rest of the stuff like Claire.

Claire's dad was shot because he had the Haitian take her and hide her. His boss wanted him to bring her in for testing and then to have her terminated if she was deemed dangerous. So he had the Haitian meet him at the bridge and shoot him and to take his memories away and add new ones to keep the guy who reads minds from reading his later. If he doesn't have that memory he doesn't have to protect it.

Yes to protect Claire....and he asked the guy to take the memories of them and everything away.......so the bad guys can not get any info out of him

I am a bit lost on the ending. I originally thought it was to keep her safe, but while watching previews to next week it was nonsense because they asked him if he still remembered his orders. I can't tell if he is good or evil. I am DYING to get the backround on Sylar
