Even if it was just TWO tears... When and how did it make you feel?

I've seen him tear up a few times and really cry a few times. The first time I saw him cry was when my son's "father" left him sitting and waiting by my front door and never showed up. It really tore my husband up. I've seen him cry when we got married, when our daughter was born, and when he left for and came back from Iraq. Then I've seen him cry over the sad things like when his dog died, when his grandmother died and when he remembers his friends that died while he was in Iraq. I've always thought that it just showed that he's human and not afraid to show it even if he's not looking macho at the time.

There once was a man I loved very much. He shed some tears about the loss of a family member as we all would do. I didn't expect it because he was always in so much control of his whole life . So much control that, that night he shed the skin & I knew his heart was human . He is a strong willed , a good man but sometimes the brick wall he encloses himself in is a bit overwhelming. He is a private person whom I adore b/c he has qualities I treasure. But that strength he possessed is a wonderful quality. There is nothing wrong w tears. That night he proved to me our friendship is based on trust.

Yes! My Dad was the first man I saw cry, it was his Grandmothers funeral and just as we got to the casket he went down on his knees and let out the most horrible sound in his chest, you knew it was his heart screaming out, I was around 21 at the time. My husband cried in front of me when we had to put our beloved basset hound to sleep, she was the best friend we ever had. After the vet put her to sleep he picked her up in her blanket and carried her to the van and before I could get the door open he fell down on his knees weeping in her fur, even though we knew she was suffering so it still hurt us to do this. My fiance cried the night we found our poor little cockier spaniel, he had been run over by a vehicle. We have a fenced in back yard and a week before Thanksgiving someone stole him from us, there was no sign of him getting out on his own and the gate was latched so we knew it was a deliberate dog napping. On the Friday of Thanksgiving, as we always do, we were delivering meals to relatives and we saw something on the road about 7 miles from our home, it was Oreo our Cockier, by the looks of his paws being so clean and his fur was not matted or muddy, it had been raining all week, we came to the conclusion that whoever took him threw him from a moving vehicle, he was use to riding in a car so we didn't think he would jump on his own. Just picturing his suffereing for no reason broke our hearts into, our little dog never hurt anyone and didn't deserve to die like that.

My husband will shed a few tears when he talks about his mom who passed away 10 yrs ago. But I only have seen him really break down and cry hard when our daughter was first born and was in the NICU and we had to rush back to the hospital because she needed emergency surgery. He thought I was still in the bathroom and didn't know I had walked back into the waiting room and I saw him crying on his twin sister's shoulder. I heard him say he was scared for our daughter but he had to be strong for me. I knew at that moment that he would always take care of our needs before his own and I think that's when I really realized that I would be with him forever.

Yes, I've seen my man cry. He and I enjoy watching the same types of movies and when there's a sad or bitter sweet scene, my guy cries right along with me.

I've also seen him cry over much deeper things that have affected him over the years and in most recent times.

I find it very endearing to have a man in my life who is not afraid to shed a tear....it shows his human side and that he is capable of expressing his emotions in front of me.

I've been married twice. I have two children from both marriages. My x husband only cried once in front of me and that was when his father died. My second husband? I have NEVER seen him cry. He was taught by his father all his life that men do NOT show emotions. I have not seen him angry either. It's really kind of sad.

I absolutely have. I wouldn't want a man who thought to cry was a sign of weakness. I've had two husbands, and both have been able to show emotion. (and i mean teary, not bawling)

My current husband might get a tear if he hears a song that reminds him of his new daughter.....or if he watches a touching story on tv.

It shows me how loving he is.....

Yes a few times, maybe three. It makes me really uncomfortable. When I grew up my dad never showed any emotion so I don't know how to handle it when my husband cries. I feel awful and awkward at the same time.

I was going to say that my boyfriends cries a lot... though now that I think about it, it isn't as much as I cry... but I still find it extremely off putting
