You can get on the National Do Not Call List, on your computer it just takes a second to do, and if any telemarketer calls you , just hang up or say do not call me, they will be in violation of the bill that congress passed.

Seeing that your posting this in Cell Phones, all I can think of is stop giving your number out to anyone but family. I never give a phone number even when its required I just put in 999-999-9999 and its usually accepted without problem. I never ever give my cell number out to anyone. If I absolutely have to give a number like for a loan application or a doctors office, I give my land line number out. Then I purchased a system that screens my calls. Anyone I don't know, gets sent to cyberspace.
