Hi there! Yes there are quite a few Christian churches in Egypt.
Most are Coptic Christian, which is one of the original branches of the Christian faith.
But other Christian faiths are represented either by a churches or meetings at places such as the Universities.
There are over 200 pyramids in Egypt. But you are most likely referring to those at Giza ,which are recognised among the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
The largest is referred to as The Great Pyramid. It was built for Pharaoh Khufu.
Its height at it time of constructed around 2570BC has been estimated at146 metres.
Over the past 46 centuries its height has been reduced by around 9metres.
To the southwest if it is the pyramid of Pharaoh Kaphre at 136 metres, at first it may appear to be the highest.
This is illusion as it is built on a slightly higher part of the plateau.
It also still retains its pryramidion or cap stone.
The smallest, but still overwhelmingly huge is that of Pharaoh Menkare, it is now 62 metres. But was originally 66.5metres in height.
Of the three,it has suffered the most at the hands of man and time. All three were build in succession.
Some of the statuary of the Pharaoh's is monolithic in its proportions.Other statues are little more than figurines.
The largest statue of a Pharaoh that we know of, is the Colossus of Rameses II.
It originally stood over 20metres or 66ft tall and weighed over 1,000 tons. One ear alone is over a metre (3ft.6inches)long.
It is one of the largest works of sculpture, ever achieved anywhere in the world, throughout all of human history.
Unfortunately it is no longer standing.
But its size can still be easily imagined, just by being in its presence.
It was this statue, that gave the poet Shelley, the inspiration to write the famous poem of "Ozymandias".
The statues and monuments at the Karnak Temple complex are of such a height, some early explorers of Egypt felt the Ancient Egyptians may have been a race of giants.
The Nile is the worlds longest river, and travels an amazing journey of 6680Km. from its source to the Mediterranean.
It begins in Lake Tana in the Ethiopian highlands as the White Nile and at Lake Victoria in Uganda as the Blue Nile.
At Khartoum the two converge to become the great river that is the life blood of Egypt.
If there was no Nile we would have no Egypt.
The long "skirts" you refer to may be gelabeya. A long sleeved,
loose fitting garment that reaches the ankles and is traditionally worn by men.
These are often worn by Egyptian men at home when relaxing. They are also quite popular as a traditional work garment for farmers and men working on the river in Upper Egypt.
You will see many men wearing them around Aswan and north to Luxor.
Ladies often were long skirts too.
It is also a good idea to wear modest tops and long skirt or pants when in certain areas, but it is by no means a rule.
Only a sign of respect for the Muslim faith,of which the majority of Egyptian people belong to..

Hi there, Yes there are Christian Churches in Egypt but you will find that they are mostly coptic orthodox. I can't tell you how tall the pyramids and the sphinx are but they are very tall i would say for the pyramids 100 m or maybe even more..the sphinx I'm not to sure..
The river nile is 6,695 km (4,180 miles)..
Yes in Egypt it would be good to wear long skirts because walking around in short and low cut things can offend Egyptian people..
God bless!
