bad migrane...diarrhoe...mild food poisoning... baby sitting...had to stay home to take care of someone who was sick... all d best!

My question is why didn't you go to school? Honestly, on occasion, I call in for my son, cause I think there are times you need a break. I call them a mental health day.
I would just be honest though. So what it is unexcused, I think you get so many of those a semester.
Note, my son is a straight A student and sometimes works too hard at school. Make sure while you are at school, you are giving it all you have. Then an occasional absence is not that big a deal

I had the best days of my life at school. Try providing for a family working a ten plus hour day for 5-6 days a week. Then you can ask whats the best excuse to take a day off ! :)

Maybe just man up and say "I didn't FEEL like going to school today...what are you going to do about it?" Put THEM on the defensive. You've started down a lifelong path of faking sick to get out of school, next your job, and any other obligation you think is beneath you, so just call it like it is, dare them to hold you accountable for your actions. That'll show 'em!!!

I always say I go to school to please myself and not anybody. If I didn't come to school, that means nothing will go into my brain that day. So why waste nerves to satisfy the teacher. Will my absence reduce his salary?
