Cuba gave the best overview of the colours associated with the different saints.
I fancy red, yellow, and black all at once. Call me odd, but I think it is a nice blend.

When I was in school many moons ago it was;
Red for St George represented by a red rose,
Blue for St Andrew represented by a thistle
Green for St Patrick represented by shamrock
Yellow for St David represented by a daffodil

The flag of St David is a Yellow cross on a black background--his emblem a leek.Although daffodils are often used as a Welsh emblem.Looks as if yellow would be appropriate

As I believe green is associated with Ireland then St David would be associated with red as the Welsh national colour.
