am on the pill and i lost my last 1 last wed morning and am due to take them again after my 7 day break well my period olny last 3 days and i have stopped bleeding sould i take the pill on wed or thurs like i normaly take it on thursday after my 7 day break. will taking it to early mess my system up. thanks

Take it on Thursday after your break. 1 pill will not mess up your
entire schedule. Just stay on the same schedule and you will be fine.

You should take it on wednesday.
If you read your pill pack it should say, if you lose a pill take the last one from the pack. You will finish your pills a day early but this is ok. You should then start again 7 days later. You will continue being protected this way. If you start thursday, you wont be protected for the 7 days after that.
The length of your period makes no effect on your pills because its only a pretend period.
I know all the answers have been very different so for peace of mind, if your not sure who to believe, pop into your local clinic or ring your docs

No it wont mess your system. Take them on Thursday and make sure you don't skip again and continue like you always did. The fortunate part is that prevention pills are not anti-biotics otherwise they would not do the job they were supposed to.

Take it Wednesday, i am on that pill and did the same thing once.
If you wait until Thursday your protection against pregnancy will be reduced.
If things like that get confusing i count on my hand seven days not taking the pill and know that on day number 8 i start taking the pill again.

Stick to your usual routine but take extra precautions as missing even one pill can mean there is a chance of pregnancy. The instructions should say how long for, I think usually 7 days but if in doubt do it for longer, better to be safe.

yeah although you have missed 1 you should just carry on as normal by re starting them on the thursday as this may mess the cycle up! the instructions in the pack should confirm it for you! im paranoid and have read them thousands of times, but i would read them to be sure!
