The Raiders trading for Matt Schaub will be a good move but without getting some serious help on the O-line not even Dan Marino could help the Raiders.

Yea I think that is a decent idea if they can also trade away the 1st pick for two less valueable picks.. The Raiders need help ALL OVER the ball.. The more quality guys they can get in the better.. ONE guy isn't going to turn the franchise around..
that being said.. I dont think they'd be able to get enough value from the 1st pick.. and unless they could give the falcons thier 3rd or 4th round pick they would give up too much to get Schuab.. I think the Falcons still like him as a back up/Change up to Vick..

From what I've read the Falcons are asking for a mid first round draft choice for Schaub. The Raiders could probably trade them their 2nd round and a pick in next years draft for him...or even more interesting they trade Randy Moss and a 3rd round pick for him and move down a few picks and draft Calvin Johnson.

The Raiders trade their third RD pick for this year and a conditional pick for the 2008 draft. Then, the Raiders will go ahead and draft Calvin Johnson (WR) with the #1 pick and begin to revamp their crippled offense. If this happens, look for the Raiders to hunt down O-linemen in free agency and use the draft to supplement their line picks.

I'm not sure what the Falcons will want for Schaub. They may have to give up like the second and third, or maybe the first. I say go for some sort of package. Perhaps try to trade Moss for Schaub, see if that can fly.

Schaub will nevertheless be a limited loose agent, meaning the Falcons can tender the utmost supply for one season and take a familiar and a third if any team signs and indicators him. shifting him is going to take a demonstration and commerce deal, and thinking Atlanta became down a 2nd around p.c.. from the Vikings for him final season, it sounds like it extremely is going to take a familiar rounder. i do unlike Oakland in this scenario because of fact their p.c.. would be too severe. The Moss deal in basic terms in touch a familiar rounder because of fact the class grow to be often susceptible. you're top, it would make experience, and that's strictly why Al Davis won't pursue it. The Browns have invested greater into Frye than probable neccessary, yet he would not look incompotent. If Crennel is going, or maintains to be decrease than guise that the GM Savage has been calling the photos, then i ought to be certain it dealing with. Minnesota is in basic terms about actual out, because of fact they moved on and used a 2nd rounder on Jackson. green Bay has the comparable difficulty because of fact the Raiders, the p.c.. is in basic terms too severe, yet Rodgers would not look solid (apologies to absolutely everyone who thinks otherwise) and a kit regarding a severe 2nd rounder may well be adequate. Gruden and Paul Allen have by no potential had a difficulty with unreasonably loading up at an offensive potential place, extremely quarterback, and, do no longer forget, inspite of Simms on the roster. Detriot has probable discovered that McCown's potential is in basic terms a theory. dark HORSE: Trent green has phantom nerve harm from the severe surgical procedures, so Kansas city is achievable, albeit distant.

Schaub is nearly untouchable, unless any team gives them a god like deal they aren't trading away a guy who can win games when the star is injured. The raiders would probably have to trade a 2nd round, a 4th round and a 7th round pick for him. I don't think they would trade Moss, who I believe would be a god with Mike Vick, for a back up, no matter how good

The Falcons will need Schaub when Vick implodes. Besides, the Raiders need a new owner more than anything else.

I think so, but I doubt Atlanta will let him go. The Falcons are losing confidence in Vick and want to retain Schaub.
