The Governement should NOT be able to spend our money without limits (currently 45% of GDP for the UK government). As with all households, mine included, there should be a limit beyond which they cannot go ?

There is a limit and the limit is voters patience. If You feel that the government is overtaxing You then simply exercise your right to censure them at the next election.
In the meantime write to your MP.

As the previous answer has said the government has to balance the need to spend and the burden of taxation.

Spend to little and they will be castigated for running down services (imagine getting turned away from A&E with your sick child).

Tax too much and the electorate will kick them out at the next election.

Its up to the government to balance how much they tax, if you don't like it excersise your constitutional right to vote against it.

Yes - it has got to the point where they are strangling the economy. The costs aren't limited to just tax, there's the £54 billion cost of red tape. It all adds up to our economy becoming uncompetitive which explains the £87 billion trade gap this year.

i'm all in favour of the will of the human beings....even however i think of you're coming from it from an exact wing perspective and that i'm staring at from a left wing perspective. yet we the two agree govt does waste funds. We wont agree on whats waste. Your waste is my plenty mandatory application and my waste is something you likely cheer.
